日本のサンゴ礁研究の最前線を紹介する英文書籍「Coral Reef Studies of Japan」が出版されました。

この本は、理学部生物系のポスドク研究員 本郷宙軌さんらが中心となって、琉球列島のサンゴ礁を中心に「オニヒトデ大発生の歴史」や「サンゴの病気」などについて、最新の知見について様々な視点から（生物学や生態学、遺伝学、化学、地学など）とらえた一冊です。

この本はシリーズで出版されている「Coral Reefs of the World」の一冊で，これまでオーストラリアやアメリカなどのサンゴ礁について出版されており、日本のサンゴ礁を対象とした本が待ち望まれていました。
