Animal Ecology, Field Biology Laboratory, Ecology and Systematics Laboratory

The researches on the animal ecology and animal-plant interaction by field surveys, observations of captive individuals, analyses of samples collected in the field, and laboratory experiments.

Research theme is determined based on the interest of each student.
(1) Animal Ecology of mammals and birds in the Ryukyu Archipelago
(2) Anima-plant interactions and utilization of plants by animals
(3) Effect of invasive species on native species

I welcome students who are interested in wildlife and field activities. The surveys need patient field works and experiments in laboratory, so students also have to do such effort, too.
*All animals have their own life cycles and researchers (students) need to decide a research plan based on the life of target animals, not on your schedule.
